Testing of electrical machines according to DGUV V3 and EN 60204 (DIN VDE 0113)

As with stationary electrical equipment, electrical machines are subject to the provisions of DGUV V3 (formerly BGV A3) and TRBS 1201 and must be checked regularly for operational safety.


Unless otherwise specified in the product standard, the inspection is carried out by the specialist in the following steps:

  • Control of the documentation
  • Visual inspection – checking for damage
  • Measurement (including automatic shutdown, insulation resistance, voltage test)
  • Functional test
  • Logging and creation of the risk assessment
