Training for the operator of aerial work platforms

In accordance with DGUV 308-008
Safety is the top priority when it comes to handling aerial work platforms. Professional training is essential to ensure the stability and correct operation of these machines. Our training program provides your employees with the knowledge they need to operate aerial work platforms safely and efficiently.
Course content:

Practical training on site:

  • We train your employees directly at your company and offer group training for 8 to 15 participants*. 

Theory and practice combined:

  • The training includes both theoretical basics and practical driving exercises - both essential for the forklift license test. 

Flexible participation:

  • We offer courses for participants with and without prior knowledge, so that both beginners and experienced drivers can benefit from the training. 

Training content:

  • General and legal basics: Basics of occupational health and safety and relevant regulations. 
  • Accident prevention: Important safety measures and rules of conduct. 
  • Technical structure and physical function: Details of various aerial work platforms, including telescopic platforms, scissor lifts and vehicle-mounted platforms. 
  • Use of the work platforms: Application scenarios and areas of use. 
  • Driving behavior and vehicle characteristics: How different aerial work platforms behave and what to look out for. 
  • Installation and commissioning: Guidelines for safe installation, carrying out inspections and maintenance. 
  • Handling personal protective equipment: Instruction in the use of safety belts and other protective equipment. 
  • Theoretical examination: Testing the knowledge acquired.

Practical part:

  • Instruction on the aerial work platforms: Practical training in operation. 
  • Function and safety tests: Carrying out the necessary tests before operation. 
  • Driving in basic position and in working position: Practical exercises for safe handling of the platform. 
  • Lifting, lowering, turning and swiveling: Learning the basic movements. 
  • Rules of conduct on the platform: Safety regulations and rules of conduct for working on the platform. 
  • Practical test: Proof of acquired skills.
